Iwate University Admissions Policy

As a venue for education and research that plays the role of a regional center of knowledge, Iwate University strives to produce human resources with the international outlook, broad-based education, and profound specialist knowledge to contribute to the formation of a sustainable and harmonious society.
To this end, we are looking for students who have the following capabilities and qualities in addition to the fundamental knowledge and thinking abilities developed through broad learning at high school and other institutions.

Degree Conferral Policy: Undergraduate Courses

As a regional center of knowledge, Iwate University aims to produce human resources with the international outlook, broad-based education, and profound specialist knowledge to contribute to the formation of a sustainable and harmonious society. To this end, students are able to obtain the following learning results through liberal arts education and common education that all students undertake, as well as the specialized education provided by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and the Faculty of Agriculture. Students are awarded a bachelor's degree through enrollment in the relevant faculty for the prescribed period of time, taking the required courses from the liberal arts and common education subjects and specialized education subjects, having their grades evaluated, and earning the prescribed number of credits.
